Lake Rotoaira
Lake Rotoaira is privately owned and accessible only to registered guests. The lake provides a calm setting for lakeside walks, time outdoors, and quiet reflection close to the campground.
The lake is of cultural and environmental significance. Visitors are asked to respect the water, shoreline, and surrounding whenua (land) at all times. Children must be supervised an adult near the lake at all times.
Fishing at Lake Rotoaira
Lake Rotoaira is known for its trout fishing and offers a quieter experience than many public waters.
A valid Lake Rotoaira fishing licence is required. Licences must be purchased before fishing. Please ensure you are familiar with the rules and regulations before heading out.
Permitted watercraft must be washed down and the self-certification vessel form must be completed prior to entering the lake.
